Stanley Thawley, MD
Stanley Thawley, M.D., completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas, Austin and medical degree from the University of Texas, Galveston, Texas. Following medical school, he completed a surgical internship at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He completed his residency in otolaryngology at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Thawley is a board-certified otolaryngologist. With more than 25 years of experience practicing otolaryngology in the St. Louis area, he is a well-respected specialist in nasal and sinus disorders. Dr. Thawley was selected by his peers to be included in the list of Best Doctors in America, 2003, 2005 - 2013.
Dr. Thawley holds an associate professorship in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. His practice includes general otolaryngology and the medical and surgical treatment of nasal-sinus disorders as well as the evaluation, testing and management of ear, nose and throat allergies.
Dr. Thawley sees patients at three office locations including the Center for Advanced Medicine, West County-Creve Coeur office and Bonne Terre office. Dr. Thawley also provides ENT care to the patients of the Madison County Health Department on a voluntary basis one clinical day each month.
He performs surgery at the Center for Advanced Medicine, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital, and Parkland BJC Health Center in Farmington.
Dr. Thawley enjoys reading and writing poetry. Dr. Thawley is a co-presenter with his nurse practitioner, Maggie Kramper on “Poetry and the Art of Nursing.” Dr. Thawley has published poetry both locally and nationally.
